The King County Sheriff’s Office Fire/Arson Investigation Unit, in conjunction with the Des Moines Police Department are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the individual(s) responsible for intentionally starting a fire last Friday, March 9.
On March 9 at approximately 3:40 p.m., a fire was set in an unoccupied residence at 20847 Des Moines Memorial Drive. The fire quickly spread throughout the remainder of the structure, causing over $100,000.00 dollars in damage. Multiple Fire Units from South King Fire and Rescue, the Burien/Normandy Park Fire Department, and SeaTac Fire Department responded to the blaze, which took approximately three and a half hours to bring under control.
Investigators on-scene determined the fire was incendiary in nature and posed an extreme life/safety risk to the responding Fire Department personnel and the public.

Arson Alarm is offering a reward from their $10,000.00 fund for the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
