Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the upcoming Des Moines Waterfront Farmers Market Annual Pancake Feed Fundraiser, to be held Saturday July 14th.
This will the first-ever one, and will take place between 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. in the Boardwalk Bistro at the Des Moines Marina.
For only $4 you will get pancakes, condiments and a drink.
All the proceeds will benefit the Farmers Market Foundation. The Foundation is a non-profit whose sole purpose is a funding mechanism for the sustainability of the Farmers Market.
Get out of bed early and come on down and enjoy the delicious food, watch the boating activity and support your favorite farmers market.

After last year’s hugely successful Chili Cook-Off contest, requests for team applications are already pouring into the caldron.
The applications for the 2012 contest will be available at the market information booth and at www.dmfm.org this coming Saturday, June 30th.
Don’t procrastinate, remember there is room for only 15 teams, so get your application in early; as before, it is first come first served.]]>
