Tips from viewers of a TV show led police to a bank robbery suspect after his photo and the details of the case were aired on the program, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
The man is a suspect in the robbery of a Key Bank in Des Moines Sept. 6, as well as another bank in Kent.
Detectives arrested the 30-year old man at his parents’ home in Maple Valley Monday night.
Police said the case aired on “Washington’s Most Wanted” Friday night, and they began receiving tips over the weekend.
Detectives said the suspect robbed the Bank of America branch in the 23700 block of Witte Road in Maple Valley on Aug. 24 around 4 p.m.
