‘Scale the Heights’ Benefit Raises Over $14,000 for Autism Research

With lights aglow and merry music filling the festively-decorated model home at Josephine Parc, generous supporters gathered to raise money AND have a great time Thursday night, Dec. 6.

The fundraiser was in support of Normandy Park resident Tracy Codd’s Mt. Kilimanjaro Climb, set for January 2013 (read our previous coverage here). Tracy’s climb is a benefit for Autism research, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the UW Autism Center.

A lively crowd enjoyed complimentary tastings of Sozo wines and 18th Ave Pasta company’s gourmet samples. Shoppers strolled the home delighting in whimsical displays of holiday decor items and housewares from Statements Home Decor and Poggi Bonsi, which also benefited the charity.

Throughout the evening guests mingled throughout the expansive model home marveling at the ease of entertaining in the generous spaces.

“Josephine Parc is the perfect backdrop for this type of an event,” remarked Candace Legg-Cadigan of Windermere Realty, representing agent for Josephine Parc and principal organizer of the event. “Even with so many guest and the displays, it never felt overcrowded!”

The event was organized by Josephine Parc, Hultquist Homes and South King Media, who send special thanks to all the generous donors, as well as participating sponsors Statements Home Decor, Poggi Bonsi, Sozo Wines, Cox Financial, and HomeTask/YellowVan Handyman.

Tracy’s goal for this fundraiser is $25,000, and it’s not too late to support this meaningful cause which touches so many lives. We invite you to learn more and get involved by clicking here to donate online.
