Highline Community College’s Business Information Technology department is offering courses taught in Spanish beginning Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013.
“These courses include the key technical skills desired by today’s employers,” reads an announcement. “Students who successfully complete all courses earn the ‘Introduction to Business Information Technology’ certificate.”
The classes are:
- Windows 7, BTECH 100, 2 credits
- Introduction to Internet, BTECH 112, 3 credits
- Introduction to Microsoft Office 2010, BTECH 111, 5 credits
- Keyboarding, BTECH 102, 5 credits
These are college courses and will be counted toward the Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Information Technology. Alma Meza is the instructor; she has a Master’s degree in Computer Science and is an exceptional teacher.
Classes will meet from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Friday. Interested individuals who wish to register for these classes taught in Spanish may be eligible for funding assistance for their tuition.
