Controversy Over Photo of Matt Parker…Stirs Even More Controversy

In what proved to be a controversial ‘Blogvertorial’ story – “Local Businessperson Purportedly to Annex West Seattle” – we now have a controversy over the photo.

“That is by far the worst photo of Matt I have seen with his shirt off,” an undisclosed Burien resident called in. “Your 2010 Cove to Clover photos showcased him as an athlete. This shot, some kind of weird surf photo, was unbecoming and rude. It looks like he just had a garden stake surgically removed from his stomach,” this from the same local who crowned him the ‘shirtless realtor’ after that race 2-1/2 years ago.

More even, from Matt:

“I don’t know how you got that photo, Scott (Schaefer, editor of The B-Town Blog), but we are officially NOT friends on Facebook anymore. I kept us connected on LinkedIn, though, because I value your professional reach.”

Parker was so upset, outside one ranting email, he couldn’t talk to us. His older brother, currently the subject character in the Hollywood film “Parker,” called us to negotiate the removal of the photo, claiming there was no proof it was actually who The B Town Blog claimed it was. They have supplied us with the attached photo as a real picture of “The Shirtless Realtor“:

Matt recently participated in a series of sponsored standup paddle trips taking him to Hawaii, California, Mexico, Costa Rica and Nicaragua and Tibet. We are in negotiations for the details on the Tibet trip, which were the only ones not written about in his online journal (www.10downwinders.com).
