Help the Arts Commission of Des Moines Raise Money for Sculpture Project

The Arts Commission of Des Moines is trying to raise $7,500 for a sculpture project they hope to bring to our community, and they’ve set up a page where you can donate online:

“This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the Des Moines Community,” said Organizer Kristy Dunn. “We cannot do this without your help!”

The amount requested will cover a portion of the total needed.

“We will be using these specific monies to cover 2.5 bases to hold the sculptures,” Dunn added. “The bases are $3,000 each and we are also applying for grants and fundraising with the local businesses as much as possible.”

Dunn adds:

This is an integral part of the project as without the bases there will be nothing to hold the sculptures. The sculptures will be at various sites around our city including the waterfront/marina area, Marine View Dr. and Pacific Highway.

We are hoping to bring a sense of community and art to Des Moines as well as bring interest to the city.
