UPDATE: ‘Dandy Dawg’ has a new home and is now ‘Mac’!

We just received word from Des Moines Master Animal Control Officer Jan Magnuson, who tells us that ‘Dandy Dawg’ – which we did a post about on Wednesday – has found a new home!

The dog will now be known as ‘Mac,’ and Jan says “he is fitting in nicely in his new home.”

Jan added:

“Extra Thanks to Scott Schaefer for posting his info on the Waterland Blog!

Thanks also to Friends of King County Animals for helping pay his veterinary costs, we really appreciate it!”

  1. Pat Nardo says:

Having lost our Teddy III of fifteen years, we know how a dog should be treated and, every day, we have watched and hoped for this kind of ending. This is one of the many areas that our great police force engages in and gets little thanks for. Thank you Des Moines Master Animal Control Officer Jan Magnuson! You can sleep better tonight for your generous good deed…and so will we now! God bless you, and the new parent, and Mac!
