Next Highline Forum will be Sept. 25 at Des Moines Police Department

The next Highline Forum will be held from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at the Des Moines Activity/Senior Center, with the theme being economic development.

“Members of the Highline Forum and the Soundside Alliance Executive Committee (formerly known as the Southwest King County Economic Development Initiative Executive Committee) will jointly meet at the Des Moines Police Department Meeting Room at 21900 11th Avenue S. in Des Moines. The public is invited to make comments at the start of the meeting.

The City of Des Moines is hosting the meeting and the theme is economic development.

The combined Highline Forum-Soundside Alliance Executive Committee membership includes the southwest King County communities of Des Moines, Burien, Normandy Park, SeaTac, Tukwila and Federal Way and the Highline School District, Highline Community College and Port of Seattle.

    Does part of the Economic Development of Des Moines include that new pornography shop across the street from Wallgreens on Hwy 99?
    Seems to me that will drive away new businesses and customers from existing businesses.
    Who made the bad decision to permit that so close to housing and schools, let alone in our community?
    Maybe this is something to discuss at the forum?
