Rotary Club holding Blood Drive at Landmark Event Center Friday, Jan. 10
The Rotary Club of Des Moines will be sponsoring a blood drive with the Puget Sound Blood Center from Noon – 6 p.m. on Friday. Jan. 10.
A Blood Mobile will be parked, and Organizers are asking for the Des Moines community’s support.
“The local blood supply always dips dramatically following a holiday and we will need as many donors as possible to meet the local demand,” reads an announcement. “In less than an hour, you can give a pint of life-saving blood that will go to three patients in serious need. The Blood Center counts on 900 donors each and every day to serve over 70 hospitals and medical centers in western Washington. Your donated blood can help save the lives of nearby patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment for cancer, receiving organ transplants, suffering life-threatening traumas or severe burns, and more.”
Please donate blood.
