PETS: Dogs ‘Peanut’ and ‘Cashew’ are in need of forever homes

Des Moines Master Animal Control Office Jan Magnuson reports that “these two little doggies were running loose and almost hit by vehicles on Pacific Highway South and rescued by a good Samaritan.”

“We held them as strays but they were never claimed,” Jan said. “They have passed their behavior assessments and are being vet checked, neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped on Monday, and will be up for adoption on Tuesday.  I will be picking them up from the vet and taking them to Auburn Valley Humane Society for adoption, so if you are interested please let us know right away!”

Peanut is a male Chihuahua and Cashew is a male Chihuahua X Dachshund type, both around a year of age:

If you’re interested in adopting either dog (or both), please contact Jan at (206) 870-6549, (206) 878-3301 or email [email protected].

“Thanks for your interest in Peanut and Cashew!” Jan added.

Just in case you’d like to know, these two cutie patooties were adopted to the same home. They will spend the rest of their years in a loving home TOGETHER!
