Des Moines Master Animal Control Office Jan Magnuson reports that “these two little doggies were running loose and almost hit by vehicles on Pacific Highway South and rescued by a good Samaritan.”

“We held them as strays but they were never claimed,” Jan said. “They have passed their behavior assessments and are being vet checked, neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped on Monday, and will be up for adoption on Tuesday.  I will be picking them up from the vet and taking them to Auburn Valley Humane Society   http://auburnvalleyhs.org/ for adoption, so if you are interested please let us know right away!”

Peanut is a male Chihuahua and Cashew is a male Chihuahua X Dachshund type, both around a year of age:

Cashew [1]

Peanut [2]

If you’re interested in adopting either dog (or both), please contact Jan at (206) 870-6549, (206) 878-3301 or email JMagnuson@desmoineswa.gov [3].

“Thanks for your interest in Peanut and Cashew!” Jan added.
