Gypsy Jazz stand-out Pearl Django will perform at the Poverty Bay Wine Festival on Sunday, March 2 at the historic Landmark Event Center in Des Moines.
With a performance history spanning almost two decades, Pearl Django is one of the most highly regarded groups in its genre working today. Pearl Django has performed at festivals, dances and nightspots throughout the U.S. and abroad.
The band’s extensive repertoire includes traditional jazz classics and original compositions. Pearl Django has cultivated a devoted and enthusiastic following and continues to play to packed houses wherever they perform.
Pearl Django plays Sunday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance at www.povertybaywine.com.

In addition to day-long live music, the Poverty Bay Wine Festival features tastings from 25 northwest wineries, microbrews and hard cider, and food.
The Poverty Bay Wine Festival is the major fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Des Moines, which supports numerous local projects, including youth programs, college scholarships, and parks improvements; international projects such as providing educational access for disabled individuals in Nepal, clean water efforts in Africa, and temporary shelters for disaster victims; and local organizations including the Des Moines food bank, the Des Moines Farmers’ Market, and the Des Moines Arts Commission.
All net proceeds from the Poverty Bay Wine Festival directly fund the service projects of the Rotary Club of Des Moines.
