A Blood Drive will be held at the Des Moines Activity Center on Monday, June 16, and live humans with blood are needed to help!
“Puget Sound Blood Center needs your help!” reads an announcement. “With summer, come vacations. Vacations mean fewer blood donors.”
Here’s more info:
Summer does not mean less need for blood. As a matter of fact, with people being more active, demand for blood goes up in the summer. This means there are fewer donors available at a time of the year when the need increases.
Please consider donating at our blood drive on June 16th.
(if you are an O Negative blood type we especially need you to donate as this blood type is at emergency levels)
