THURSDAY, July 3rd – 6-8pm “Smoke on the Water” Des Moines Community BBQ at the Des Moines Beach Park with live music, beer garden and root beer float garden.
FRIDAY, July 4th – 6-10pm “Born to be Wild” concert in the park with original members of Steppenwolf and Pegasus plus the best seats for viewing the fireworks! Buy tickets here.
FRIDAY, July 4th – 10:15 p.m. “Fire in the Sky” Fireworks over Des Moines on the Des Moines Marina floor. The best way to see fireworks is over the waters of the Puget Sound with the Olympic Mountains in the background.
SATURDAY, July 5th – 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Des Moines Waterfront Farmers’ Market

THURSDAY, JULY 3:
With live music from the Saltwater Saints, Beer and Root Beer Gardens and food courtesy Master Chef Vince Koster, this should be a fun night.
Tickets are $15 for Adults, $12 Seniors and Kids $9 (kids under 3 eat free with paid Adult admission).

FRIDAY, JULY 4:
Former members of Steppenwolf and Pegasus will be performing a live concert before the 4th of July fireworks at Des Moines Beach Park, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting scholarships for local kids.
Also on the bill will be ‘Mom’s Rocket’ and ‘Chasing Oz.’
“Headlining the event with be original/former members of Steppenwolf on their 2014 Born To Be Wild Tour, performing their 16 Greatest Hit songs including Magic Carpet Ride and Born to Be Wild,” band member Glen Bui told The Waterland Blog. “This is the first time Des Moines has had a band of this caliber perform!”
Two members of the band live in the Des Moines area.
