More comments from shoppers about how friendly our market is and this is true of the vendors themselves. Witnessed last Saturday, a jewelry vendor’s canopy broke while she was putting it up. Her competitor down the aisle overheard and she and her husband offered to help. They went to the market’s storage shed and grabbed one of our extra ones and help her put it up. Now, that is friendly! And, when the soccer girls (volunteer group) were picking up tables and chairs, customers who were finished eating joined in and helped stack their own tables and chairs. And yet another reason to come to our market; two ladies with walkers, who live near the Kent Farmers Market, choose to drive to Des Moines because we have much more parking and the ever convenient shuttle. Food Truck-InClear the deck and mark your calendar  the Seattle Food Truck-In is once again coming to the market on September 13th! Don’t forget the Senior Services Hyde Shuttle is available again this Saturday and every other Saturday thru the end of October. The shuttle provides door to door transportation to the market for seniors 55 and older and those with disabilities of all ages living in Des Moines, Normandy Park and Burien from 11am-2pm.
