The City of Des Moines Community Litter Clean-Up Event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and volunteers are needed!

Volunteers are asked to meet at the Public Works Center, located at 223rd and 24th Ave South.

“If you aren’t able to make this event, but still want to help out, please get a group of your neighbors together, pick a section of your neighborhood or street, and work on that. Ever little bit helps!” reads an announcement.

Volunteers, ages 15 or older, will be assigned to a team. Teams will be provided safety vests, gloves, trash pickers, and bags and dispatched to areas of the City to clean up and bag litter.

Please RSVP by Sept. 17 to 206-870-6525.
