Des Moines Legacy Foundation seeking baked good donations for ‘Casino Night’

The Des Moines Legacy Foundation’s ‘Casino Night’ fundraiser event will be held at the Des Moines Field House on Saturday, March 21.

In the past, volunteers who were Martha Stewart ‘wannabe’s’ could cook and donate baked goods for the Dessert Dash at the end of the really fun event.

SportsAuctionCupcakesHowever, due to health department changes, only baked goods prepared in a commercial kitchen can be offered this year.

Organizers are seeking all community-minded folks to see if you know someone with a “commercial kitchen” who would be willing to donate a dessert or two to this cause, or if you’d be willing to swing by a local bakery and purchase a dessert to share.

The Des Moines Legacy Foundation presents Vegas Lights Casino Night. Dress in your Vegas best and enjoy a variety of casino games, heavy hors d’ouvres, raffles, prizes and more! To purchase tickets, simply call the Des Moines Field House and ask to be a “High Roller” and Double Down for Kids (includes double drink tickets, double the fun and a flashy accessory to show off your high roller status) or ask for general $50 admission.

Can’t attend the event? Support the cause through our 50/50 raffle where you need not be present to win. Tickets are $5 each and available for sale at the Field House. Proceeds of this event benefit youth scholarships allowing Des Moines youth to participate in programs that inspire them to realize their full potential and discover their gifts in life.
