Kolson cited as her reason that she will be relocating with her family to another state. No word yet on when a replacement will be selected. Kolson has served in this position since March of 2013 (read our previous coverage here). Here’s the text of an email she sent out to members Monday:

I wanted to share some news with all of you today that I will be leaving my position here at the Southwest King County Chamber of Commerce at the end of 2015 to relocate with my family to another state. I have had the good fortune of working in Southwest King County since 2006 and coming to work at the Chamber in 2013. Southwest King County is a great place to live and work in! I have served as an SWKC Chamber Ambassador, Golf Tournament Chair, Chair of the Board, Banker and now President/CEO. It has been a privilege to serve the membership here. My banking career taught me how to build long term relationships with clients and I am proud to say we have many long term members and supporters here at the Chamber also! The Chamber will continue to grow and be the regional voice of businesses as the Board of Directors seeks to find my replacement. It has been really exciting to see the changes made at the Chamber, which in turn has caused the membership to grow, events and luncheons attendance has increased and more importantly, businesses are represented on Local, Regional, State and Federal issues. Thank you all for being a member of the Southwest King County Chamber of Commerce! Carol
