Highline Public Schools seeking public input on school schedule changes

Highline Public Schools is considering some school schedule changes that could affect local families and students, and they are asking for public input on:

  • Changing Friday early release to a different day and/or a late start.
  • Starting high school at a later time each day.
  • Altering the high school class schedule to allow students to earn more credits over the course of a year.

Please read more information about these schedule changes and share your input.

The survey is easy to access and is a convenient way to share input and ideas.

The survey is open until Wednesday, April 27.

All parents and guardians of Highline students are invited to take the survey.

Results will be shared with the community and will help district and school leadership develop a plan for meeting the needs of students and staff.

Individual input will remain anonymous.

Take the survey here.

If you are interested in serving on a study team regarding the high school schedule, please contact Cheryl Schindel by April 25 at Chery[email protected].
