King County Housing Authority property. There is no on site housing authority management. Same as the Victorian Woods a couple blocks north.
King County manages these property’s off site for low income section 8 housing.
Soon as a family member moves in, so does the the little gang relatives.
Lots of drugs, mail theft, and prostitution.
The fox running the hen house.
Area is going down hill fast because of King County Housing.

This is the fourth or fifth homicide in Des Moines this year, I believe. The city council seems blind to the fact that crime is rising yet our police department is grossly understaffed. We have a lame duck city manager who is on his way out and a city administration who don’t seem to care. WAKE UP council and provide us with the protection we pay for and deserve!

More officers with greater visual presence would be nice.
I was taking a lovely stroll down at the Marina last evening, but my peaceful revere was rudely interrupted by having to walk through clouds of hazy skunky marijuanna smoke.
With the recent shooting down at the Marina…

He was not Hispanic. He is very much missed by his Family and friends. David Phelps was his name and he helped build Safco field. R.I.P David.

Drove through the marina, Monday around 7:00 pm. Des Moines patrol officer sitting, doing paperwork at the end of the Des Moines creek trail parking lot . This is the little offbeat marina hangout for gangers.
    Good job Des Moines police!
