Arts, entertainment, car show & more at Wild Strawberry Festival this weekend!
Burien’s annual Wild Strawberry Festival is coming up at Town Square Park this weekend – Saturday, June 18 and Sunday, June 19!
The festival – along with the Father’s Day Car Show – attracts around 8,000 people every year, and the weather forecast is for partly sunny skies.
It is a family-friendly event, filled with musical performances, games and activities for youth, vendor booths, and food trucks.
This two-day festival will be packed with entertainment options fit for the entire family. Booths will line the streets around Town Square Park where vendors sell specialty goods and hold information sessions for visitors as they stroll by. Bring the kids along because there will be fun games and activities for them at the booths. And stop by the Wild Strawberry Festival’s Information booth to play the Passport game.
START AT THE KIWANIS PANCAKE BREAKFAST
From 8 – 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, it’s the annual Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast at the new Fire Station, located at 900 SW 146th Street.
Cost is $7, with Kids 5 and under FREE:
Throughout the festival, expect exciting performances from musicians and wandering performers. You’ll see Fantastic Freddy on his unicycle, juggling around Town Square. Bubbleman is bringing the suds back with his bubble machine on Sunday. The KCLS will host Cuban music performer Eli Rosenblatt on Saturday at 11:45am.
And this year’s entertainment highlight will be the B-Boy & B-Girl Strawberry Jam – Breakdance Battle, from 3:30-6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Watch some cool moves as dancers battle it out!

This year, there will be even more activities for kids. On Saturday, youngsters can explore fire trucks, dump trucks, and police cars during Touch-A-Truck. They can also jump and play freely on the inflatables in the pocket park, located on 152nd and 6th.

For the past 13 years, dads and families have spent the day checking out beautifully restored classic cars along SW 152nd Street and into Olde Burien.
For the first time this year, there will also be a Motorcycle Show as well, so bring dad out for a fun-filled Sunday.
WATCH MURAL MASTERS PAINTING IN THE ART ALLEY
Come celebrate the 2nd annual NW Mural Masters event in the Art Alley between SW 152nd and SW 153rd, featuring 10 of the Northwest’s finest graffiti and street artists including two special guests from Vancouver B.C. There will be live painting on six walls Saturday and Sunday with DJ Fever One providing music for everyone.
The 2016 NW Mural Masters is take place along side Burien’s Wild Strawberry Festival and the Discover Burien Father’s Day Car Show. Check out the Discover Burien website for more information.
