  1. There is a CHRISTMAS TREE, somewhere, near Des Moines, we will be enjoying this CHRISTMAS TREE, instead of a “Des Moines tree”, thank you. Tradition lives in our home, among our family and friends. We share the love of our little city of Des Moines, as well, but Christmas remains traditional, not to be erased by Political correctness, or fear of offending. MERRY CHRISTMAS, anybody?

    1. You seem offended.
Your advice to continue to do things without “fear of offending” seems to be missing the proviso that the group that’s offended does not include you.
      Right Pat?
Hope the tree lighting was great, look forward to seeing it in person next year.

  3. Where is the civilized decorum? Not pajamas again. It’s bad enough at Wallmart. But at a planned public event? Just say’n.

    1. I have to say that I am not a big fan of a community pajama party. It doesn’t sound like it’s very inclusive. I’ll be there anyway and enjoy the Christmas Tree Lighting with everyone, though. Methinks a different theme needs to be found for future years, though. Merry Christmas!
