Sarah Jenner, a student at Mt. Rainier High School, served as a page last week in the Washington State House of Representatives.

Sponsored by State Rep. Tina Orwall (D-Des Moines), Sarah is the daughter of Carrie Jenner and Stuart Jenner of Highline.

Pages perform a wide variety of responsibilities, from presenting the flags to distributing amendments on the House floor.

In addition to contributing to the efficient operation of the Legislature, pages receive daily civics instruction, draft their own bills, and participate in mock committee hearings.

Sarah participates on her high school’s swim team and plays in the orchestra.

Marvelous program for any student 14-16 years old. Washington is only one of two states that have this program. Teaches students about state government and is also a tidy paycheck. Contact Sen Karen Keiser, Reps Tina Orwall or Mia Gregerson, or your school counselor, or check the Page website:

This is not for the wealthy or well-connected – it is for ANYONE. Please look into it for your kids.
