Des Moines Police unsuccessfully search for burglary suspect Monday afternoon

On Monday, Dec. 3 at around 2:30 p.m., Des Moines Police Officers responded to a residential burglary in the 23900 block of 20th Ave South near Highline College (map below).

Police said that the homeowner had access to a security camera within his residence, and that he had witnessed a white male approximately 30 to 40 years of age lurking in his home after breaking out a rear window.

The suspect was described as being tall and thin wearing a light gray jacket, blue jeans and black gloves.

He stole personal items from the home, including jewelry, cash and clothing, before exiting through the front door.

The incident is an open investigation and will be reviewed by Detectives.
