According to its Facebook Page, the Des Moines Doghouse – located at 22302 Marine View Drive South – is for sale after over seven years in business:

“I’m Sorry to have to say this on Face Book..But I do want all my great customers to know…As of Next week the Dog House is up for sale…I’s been a great ride…What a great community I have grown to love…Thank you all for your support and never ending business!”
In business since 2005, the Doghouse served hot dogs ranging from the classic old school ones to gourmet chicken or turkey sausages or even a healthy vegetarian hot dog. “Tami LaFreniere is the “H.D.I.C” (Head Dawg In Charge) of the Dog House,” reads a note on the company’s website. “After working 15 years in the mental health industry, she felt like it was time to move on to something different. When the Dog House went up for sale, she had a vision and felt it was time to take a leap of faith and go into business for herself. On December 30, 2005 that vision became a reality when Tami became the official owner of the Des Moines Dog House. After making a few changes and putting her own personality into the Dog House, it was open for business. As soon as you step through the door and take a look around, you can’t help but notice Tami’s love for our hometown heroes, the Seattle Seahawks, or her fun, quirky sense of humor everywhere you look. Not only does she serve the best dogs in Des Moines, but she also brings a wonderful sense of small town camaraderie and friendship with her.” As we learn more about this, we’ll update this post…]]>
