Who’d a thunk it…. cars were lined up for a block at the start of the Take Back Your Drugs and Shred-it Event last Saturday at the market! Kory Batterman, DMPD Community Service Officer, had to call the department for reinforcements to handle all the traffic. Kory later commented that it was the biggest haul of old medications since the department starting doing the event. You could hear the shred-it truck crunching all day. Congrats to the Des Moines Police Department for putting together this very worthy community event. There were positive comments from all the people who participated.
