Established in 1907, Zenith Holland Nursery is the oldest continually operating business in Des Moines, and also the place for the freshest, most beautiful and distinctive trees to adorn your home and hearth!
Located just south of downtown Des Moines at 23260 Marine View Drive South, the Nursery sits on just over an acre of land with eleven greenhouses and includes an abundant gift shop and retail area.
Zenith Holland is the place where holiday memories are made, from a delightfully decorated photo spot where you can capture the moment in images for free, to fun and educational seminars & make ’n take classes.

- Ongoing: Photo spot during open hours through Christmas! Bring your camera and wear your favorite look to capture a card worthy shot of you and yours( don’t forget your pets!) Our smartly decorated winter scene will back drop your creation! Free
- Nov. 22: Closed for Thanksgiving
- Nov. 23: Open at 10 a.m. for all things Christmas! Beautiful fresh cut locally grown evergreen trees. Florist quality poinsettias, wreaths, garland and more.
- Nov. 24, 1 p.m.: Make and take Evergreen Wreath class with Francine pre register and prepay 49.95. Adorn a 24”native evergreen wreath with magical embellishments for your outside entry to last the season long
- Dec. 1, 1 p.m.: Make and take Poinsettia planter class with Francine pre register and prepay 49.95; winter spirit indoor garden includes container, poinsettia with accent plants for home. Discussion on how to keep your poinsettias and house plants looking beautiful all season long.
- Monday-Friday 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
