On Friday, March 6, 2020, as a precautionary measure, and based on King County, State and County health recommendations, the City of Des Moines announced that it is cancelling classes, programs and special events.

“The City is taking every precaution to limit the exposure and protect the citizens,” officials said in a statement.

For these reasons the following classes, programs and special events have been cancelled until further notice:

**Weekly lunch service for Seniors (Monday-Thursday) will still be provided with drive up service at the Senior Activity Center. Hot lunches available at noon.**
