Des Moines’ Southminster Presbyterian Church (19834 8th Ave. S.; map below) has installed a Little Free Pantry to help support the needs of our community.
Nearly 10 percent of King County residents experience food insecurity, according to Feed America. To offer assistance to those who are struggling to find enough food, especially with the complications of COVID-19, the church is offering this pantry as a resource to our community.
Much like the ‘Little Free Libraries’ that have popped up within the community, this pantry is available for anyone to use.
Everyone is invited to contribute non-perishable items to the pantry, though Southminster will stock it as needed.
