A free Drive-by Hot Air Balloon Glow – ‘Light The Park’ – will be held at City Hall Park in Normandy Park this Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020, from 4:15 – 6:30 p.m.
This is a safe, socially-distanced, drive-by holiday event featuring two ten-story hot air balloons (weather permitting).

Please join us for Light the Park- socially distanced for 2020. Pop up hot air balloon glow in conjunction with The Normandy Park Arts and Parks Commission this Sat!
Drive around town, look at all the homes lit up, and swing by City Hall Park to see two ten-story hot air balloons! The balloons will start to inflate at 4:15pm and will be up for a little over an hour glowing in the dark! This is both an online and in-person drive-by event! Weather permitting.
ONLINE EXPERIENCE: We will be doing a live stream of the balloon glow and have Eliav Cohen, the chief pilot of Seattle Ballooning answering questions live. You’ll learn about ballooning and learn about how you can become a balloon pilot for free if you are 16-25 years old. - For the Drive-by: Please come up Marineview Dr. SW from the Westside of City Hall Park for the drive-through. Please be respectful of everyone else coming, check out the balloons, take some photos, and then check out the other lights around town!
- We know hot air balloons are exciting. Please stay back from the balloons, wear a mask, and social distance if you are walking around.
