SUMMARY:‘Dinner or Pardon’ Food Drive in Normandy Park ends Thanksgiving Day
DESCRIPTION:REMINDER: The Krull Family’s annual “Dinner or Pardon” Food Drive in support of Transform Burien will be open through Thanksgiving Day (this Thursday\, Nov. 28\, 2024) in Normandy Park\, so if you haven’t participated\, now’s the time! \nCommunity members are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations to the annual fundraiser\, located outside the Krull’s house located on the corner of SW 200th Street and 3rd Ave SW in Normandy Park (map below). \nParticipants can “vote” by placing their food donations in either the “Dinner” or “Pardon” bins\, a playful nod to Thanksgiving traditions. \nAll food collected will benefit Transform Burien\, a local organization that provides meals and resources to community members in need. \nOrganizers hope the friendly competition will inspire residents to give generously this holiday season\, helping to stock the food bank for the coming winter months. \n\n\n\nPhotos\n\n\n\nSome scenes from this year’s event\, courtesy Candace Krull (click arrows or swipe images to view slideshow): \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nVideo\n\n\n\n\n\nHere’s video of last year’s “Pardoning Ceremony” as filmed by Scott Schaefer (NOTE: There will NOT be a ceremony this year): \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\nEDITOR’S NOTE: Since South King Media’s creation in 2007\, we have provided tens of thousands of dollars worth of FREE promotional and marketing services to local nonprofits and organizations.
