DESCRIPTION:The City of Des Moines is gearing up for National Night Out 2025\, set for Tuesday\, Aug. 5\, inviting neighbors across the city to turn on porch lights\, step outside\, and come together to build a stronger\, safer community. \nPart of a nationwide initiative\, National Night Out encourages residents to connect with one another in the spirit of neighborhood safety and unity. \nThis annual event is designed to foster positive relationships between community members and local law enforcement officials. \n“From lemonade stands to pet parades\, there are so many ways to celebrate!” officials said. “Some people simply set up lawn chairs in the front yard or sidewalk and take an opportunity to say hello to neighbors.” \nThe City is encouraging residents who are planning events to register by July 28 at: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nwww.desmoineswa.gov\n\n\n\nRegistration is free but required annually for organizers who wish to receive visits from Des Moines Police and city officials. \nOfficials say they’ll provide registrants with everything needed to host a successful gathering\, including planning tips and ideas.
