DESCRIPTION:Inkfish Gallery will host “Landscapes\,” a free group exhibition featuring paintings\, drawings\, photography and other artwork from 2–5 p.m. on Saturday\, Sept. 12 at its gallery in Des Moines. \nThe exhibition will explore landscapes in a variety of forms\, including traditional\, contemporary\, abstract and imaginative interpretations of places and environments\, according to Inkfish Gallery. \nArtwork may depict a familiar view\, an imagined landscape or a personal interpretation of the natural world. The exhibition is intended to celebrate the many ways artists experience and represent landscapes. \nRon Peters\, a world-renowned jazz guitarist\, will perform during the event\, Inkfish Gallery said. \nThe exhibition is sponsored by the Des Moines Legacy Foundation and Inkfish Foundation and funded by 4Culture of King County. \nIt is free and open to the public. \n\n\n\nInkfish Gallery is located at 22220 7th Ave S. in Des Moines:

DESCRIPTION:Burien’s 19th annual Arts-A-Glow festival will bring illuminated art\, music and family activities to downtown Burien from 7 to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night\, Sept. 12. \nThe free\, family-friendly event will light up SW 152nd and SW 153rd Streets from 4th Ave SW to Olde Burien\, as well as Town Square Park. \nThis unique festival will feature art installations\, interactive sculptures\, light projections and more. Visitors can also expect roving artists\, musical performances\, a special night market and opportunities to create illuminated art. \nAttendees are encouraged to take part in the experience by wearing glowing costumes or bringing a favorite lantern. \nEnjoy a Mystical Forest at Highline Heritage Museum\nFrom 7–10 p.m.\, the Highline Heritage Museum will transform info a Mystical Forest\, a “flowing world of light\, art\, music\, movement and imagination.” \nLive performances will include: \n\n8 p.m.: Taekwondo\n8:15 p.m.: Chaotic Noise\n9 p.m.: Moon Dancers\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFree Lantern Making Workshop Sept. 11\nFamilies can also attend a free lantern-making workshop from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Friday\, Sept. 11\, at the Burien Library.
