SUMMARY:Airport Part 150 Study Open House set for Saturday\, Oct. 17 at Cedarhurst Elementary in Burien
DESCRIPTION:Residents can review proposed draft measures and share feedback on Sea-Tac Airport’s Part 150 Study at an Open House Saturday\, Oct. 17\, at Cedarhurst Elementary School in Burien (map below). \nThis event will run from 10 a.m. to Noon\, and will cover the study’s timeline and proposed draft measures\, with an opportunity for attendees to offer public feedback. \nFood and childcare will be provided. \nHere’s more info from seapart150.com: \n\n“This multi-year study evaluates SEA’s aircraft noise compatibility with the surrounding communities and explores current and potential new efforts to reduce the effects of aircraft noise on these communities. This voluntary study follows the Federal Aviation Administration’s regulatory process. \n“The in-person workshops will share information about the study’s timeline\, projected aircraft noise levels in the surrounding communities\, and proposed draft measures aimed at reducing noise. Attendees will have the opportunity to offer feedback on proposed measures and suggest additional noise reduction measures for evaluation within the study. \n“Similar to previous study workshops\, each workshop will be held in an “open house” format with no formal presentation. The workshops will be an interactive format to maximize opportunities for one-on-one conversations and allow participants to share information\, ideas\, and concerns about potential measures with staff and consultants. Since the information will be identical at each of these three workshops\, you may attend any workshop at any time during the hours listed.”
