SUMMARY:Rotary Club’s ‘Coats for Kids’ drive continues through Nov. 13
DESCRIPTION:Help the Rotary Club of Des Moines & Normandy Park collect warm winter coats for children in our community. \nRotary’s annual “Coats for Kids” drive provides coats for 800+ children in local schools each year in partnership with the Highline Schools Foundation and Plumbers and Pipe Fitters of UA Local 32. \nA warm coat makes a meaningful difference in a child’s life. It motivates students to get to school each day and participate in outdoor activities. It helps them stay healthy during the cold winter months. \nYou can help by donating one or more coats\, or by making a cash donation to help Rotary purchase coats\, between Oct 26 and Nov. 13. \nRotary is collecting new or gently used warm winter coats\, preferably with hoods\, in a range of sizes for students in grades K-12. \nDrop your donation off at one of these collection locations: \n\nAuntie Irene’s\nB & E Meats and Seafood (Des Moines and Burien locations)\nBECU (Burien)\nbodySTRONG\nDes Moines City Hall\nGrace Lutheran Church\nGrocery Outlet (Normandy Park)\nPrint Place\nSecond Love Coffee\nOrca Strength Crossfit\n\nTo donate funds to help Rotary purchase coats\, visit dmnprotary.org/donate. \nFor the seventh year in a row\, Plumbers and Pipe Fitters of UA Local 32 has donated $5\,000 to the Coats for Kids drive. \nThe Rotary Club of Des Moines & Normandy Park is grateful to the local residents\, businesses\, and community partners who step up each year to make sure no child in our community goes without this essential winter clothing.
