The parking lot stretches along the trail and the river. We’ll plan to meet at the northern end of the lot\, closest to Lake Washington. \n\n\n\nThe walk will take us south on the Cedar River trail for 1.5 miles. Along the way we’ll pass the Renton airport and the Renton Memorial Stadium. DESCRIPTION:A free Repair Event will be held at the Burien Library on Wednesday\, Mar. 15\, 2023\, from 3 – 6 p.m. \nAt this free community event in the library’s main meeting room\, skilled “fixers” will try to repair and mend household items and clothing. \nSign up in advance. One item per person. \nTo sign up or if you have questions\, contact event coordinator Tom at tom.watson@kingcounty.gov or at 206-477-4481. \nFor more info about the King County repair events program\, or for a list of King County businesses offering repair\, visit www.KCecoconsumer.org. \n“We will try to work on small household and personal items (including some electronics and small furniture)\, as well as clothing and textiles\,” organizers said. “No lengthy reconstructive repairs. No major clothing alterations. No knife or tool sharpening at this event.” \n“We may decline to work on an item – in advance or at the event – depending on the item\, the type of repair needed\, the fixers available\, or for other reasons.” \nThese events seek to reduce waste and conserve resources. \n“Thanks for your support!”
