Oh, what a day it was! Skeptics said it couldn’t be done. Little did they know the determination of the Des Moines Marina, the Knights Car Club and the Farmers Market staffs to get’r done! With an estimated crowd of over 4,500, the combined event worked like it had been done a thousand times before. People from all over Puget Sound enjoyed over 300 classic cars and boats from another era and delicious food from the Boardwalk Bistro. Many patrons made comments like:

“What a great idea having the market and car show at the same time, in the same location, it’s like Waterland, only better.”
Even though the market was smaller than a typical Saturday, vendors and patrons took advantage of the first of Washington corn, peaches and other produce coming into season. Look for the market to be back to its normal vendor size this coming Saturday, July 28. VIDEO Did you miss this event? Or do you want to re-live it?
