Mt. Rainier High School Rams football team shut out the Eisenhower Cadets 21-0 in a non-conference matchup Saturday, Sept. 13, at Zaepfel Stadium in Yakima.
The Rams struck first in the opening quarter and carried a 7-0 lead into halftime. After a scoreless third quarter, Mt. Rainier sealed the win with two touchdowns in the final period.
Eisenhower was unable to generate any points against the Rams’ defense, let alone marshal anything resembling a military industrial complex on offense.
The win improved Mt. Rainier’s overall record to 2-0 while Eisenhower fell to 0-2.
