by EditorMarch 24, 2026March 24, 2026

Des Moines Mayor Yoshiko Grace Matsui will host a public community conversation on Monday, March 30, at Alina’s Cafe, according to event materials.

The event, titled “Chat with the Mayor,” is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Alina’s Cafe, located at 21904 Marine View Drive, Suite B (map below).

The gathering is described as an informal opportunity for residents to connect with the mayor, ask questions, share ideas and discuss issues important to them.

“There is no agenda, just conversation,” the event announcement says.

Organizers said additional dates and locations for future chats are expected to be announced later.
