The motorcyclist killed in a crash in Des Moines on April 17 has been identified as a 28-year-old Des Moines man, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Sadly, Charles Vincent Reyes Febrer died from multiple blunt force injuries following the crash, which occurred in the 22500 block of 7th Ave South on Friday night, April 17.
As we previously reported, Des Moines Police and emergency crews responded at about 11:20 p.m. on April 17 to that location for a report of a motorcycle down with the rider in the roadway.
When officers arrived, they found Febrer unconscious and without a pulse. Officers immediately began CPR until medics arrived.
Tragically, despite lifesaving efforts, Hebrer was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators determined his motorcycle had struck another vehicle that remained at the scene. The driver of that vehicle was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and later booked into the King County Jail.
The case remains under investigation by the King County Sheriff’s Office.
