REMINDER: The 2026 Waterland Children’s Festival will bring FREE family activities, lunch and snacks to Des Moines Field House Park (map below) this Friday, July 17.
The event is scheduled from Noon to 4 p.m. and will include Camp KHAOS Splash & Play Zones, a fire truck, inflatables, a craft zone and a construction zone.
Organizers said free lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with free snacks available from 2 to 4 p.m.
The festival is billed as an afternoon of free family fun, with activities aimed at children and families looking for a summer outing in Des Moines.
Families are encouraged to attend together and “enjoy a day of play, laughter, and summer memories,” organizers said.
