Have you ever wondered about the stories behind some of Des Moines’ most familiar landmarks?

Come join us Wednesday, Nov. 11, as we step back in time and discover the people, places and stories that helped shape the community we call home.

The Rotary Club of Des Moines & Normandy Park welcomes VJ Kopacki, the new Executive Director of the Des Moines Historical Society, for a special presentation: “Des Moines History: Landmark on the Sound.” VJ will take us on a journey through Des Moines history, with a special focus on the historic Masonic Retirement Home and its important place in our community’s story.

Come for the history, stay for the fellowship—and perhaps discover something about Des Moines you never knew!
