Help the Rotary Club of Des Moines & Normandy Park collect warm winter coats for children in our community.

Rotary’s annual “Coats for Kids” drive provides coats for 800+ children in local schools each year in partnership with the Highline Schools Foundation and Plumbers and Pipe Fitters of UA Local 32.

A warm coat makes a meaningful difference in a child’s life. It motivates students to get to school each day and participate in outdoor activities. It helps them stay healthy during the cold winter months.

You can help by donating one or more coats, or by making a cash donation to help Rotary purchase coats, between Oct 26 and Nov. 13.

Rotary is collecting new or gently used warm winter coats, preferably with hoods, in a range of sizes for students in grades K-12.

Drop your donation off at one of these collection locations:

  • Auntie Irene’s
  • B & E Meats and Seafood (Des Moines and Burien locations)
  • BECU (Burien)
  • bodySTRONG
  • Des Moines City Hall
  • Grace Lutheran Church
  • Grocery Outlet (Normandy Park)
  • Print Place
  • Second Love Coffee
  • Orca Strength Crossfit

For the seventh year in a row, Plumbers and Pipe Fitters of UA Local 32 has donated $5,000 to the Coats for Kids drive.

The Rotary Club of Des Moines & Normandy Park is grateful to the local residents, businesses, and community partners who step up each year to make sure no child in our community goes without this essential winter clothing.
