From Advertiser Dave Upthegrove:
June Leonard Place Opening in Renton
June Leonard Place, 48-units of affordable housing for working families and veterans, recently opened in downtown Renton. King County was a proud partner in funding June Leonard Place, and contributed $5.5 million to help address the growing housing affordability crisis in South King County.
This project will serve working families and veterans in the heart of downtown Renton with excellent access to transit, and to the wonderful local businesses, parks and schools in the Renton community.
King County Metro Transit Updates for South King County
King County Metro Transit made two exciting updates to existing programs that will make public transit more accessible to South King County residents.
King County Metro Transit’s Trailhead Direct shuttle, which ferries passengers to and from different hiking trails along I-90, added new stops in Tukwila and Renton.
Metro’s Via to Transit program also expanded its services to residents in Tukwila and SeaTac. Through the Via to Transit program, commuters who live within certain service areas can hail rides to and from several Link light rail stations for the price of a bus ride.
