As a sponsor of the Des Moines Farmers Market, Warm 106.9 radio has donated its sponsor booth space to musician Marilyn Milano and author Diana Clark this coming Saturday – look for them sharing a canopy and stop in and say hello. Seattle based pianist and vocalist Marilyn Milano blends her love of music with her compassion for animals through her songs. Marilyn day job is an account manager for Warm 106.9. She is currently raising funds to produce “Love Has Many Faces”, an animal rescue CD project that takes you on a journey…from the perspective of the animal in the shelter, on to the joy of finding a new family member, the sorrow of losing a beloved pet, and the re-dedication to the cause of rescue until there’s a home for every companion animal. Marilyn Milano’s passion for her cause and well-crafted songs will educate, inform and entertain, with the greater goal of helping out companion animals and those who love them. 25% of each sale of the finished product will be donated to animal charities. To help support the project, Marilyn has produced “Musings”, a solo piano CD of original music that was “composed on the spot” as it was being recorded. She is also the author of a children’s book “I Just Want to Play”, illustrated by artist Pat (Jackson) Shea. Both are available through Marilyn directly. Learn more at www.marilynmilano.net.
