The City of Des Moines on Monday, Aug. 19, 2024 announced the four finalists for its City Manager position, and is seeking public input to help guide the City Council’s decision.

Meet and Greet the Finalists on Tuesday, Aug. 27
A community meet-and-greet event will be held at Beach Park Auditorium on Tuesday, Aug. 27, starting at 6:30 p.m., which will also provide residents with the in-person opportunity to interact with the candidates.
The city is encouraging residents to review the profiles and submit their thoughts via a comment card available on its website. Public feedback will be a key factor in the City Council’s final decision. Comment cards are due by 5 p.m. on Aug. 28.
“We value the input of our community members in shaping the future of Des Moines. Their voices will play an important role in selecting a leader who aligns with the city’s goals and values,” the City of Des Moines said in a statement.
