Families can find a Halloween costume and give outgrown outfits another turn at trick or treating during the third annual Costume Swap on Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Des Moines Field House (map below).
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to Des Moines Community Enrichment Services.
Participants do not need to donate a costume to take part.
“Come find a new-to-you costume just in time for Halloween!” organizers said in the announcement.
Organizers are asking for clean, gently-used costumes and costume pieces to be dropped off by Oct. 9.
“Save some money, clear out the costume closet, and help another costume get one more night of tricks and treats!” organizers said.
