[/caption] The Des Moines Farmers Market Foundation, by popular demand, is once again selling its own wine as a fundraiser to help support the market. Beginning this Saturday (June 16), look for the wine booth next to the market Information Booth and the Legacy Foundation’s note cards. Last year’s favorite “Waterfront White” is back and joining it is a new “Waterfront Red.” The white is from Masset Winery and the red is a Cabernet Sauvignon from Claar Cellars, both from the Eastern Washington. These wines will be available every Saturday throughout the market season. The wines will also be available for sale at Corky Cellars, at 22511 Marine View Drive in Des Moines. While shopping for your wine, take home free recipes from the market’s own chef, Wanolitto. His recipes revolve around cooking with wines or paring wines with your favorite foods. He is usually in the wine booth every week and would be glad to converse with you on his favorite subjects, wine, food and of course the Farmers Market Foundation.]]>
