A driver was arrested for investigation of attempting to elude police after fleeing from Washington State Patrol troopers on Pacific Highway South near South 260th Street, authorities said.
Troopers attempted to stop the vehicle in Des Moines, but the driver fled, running red lights, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Troopers did not pursue the vehicle.
A short time later, they located it parked nearby as the driver was walking away from the area, the agency said.
The driver was arrested for eluding, and the vehicle was impounded, according to the State Patrol.
